Description
Cananga odorata, also known as ylang-ylang, is a tropical tree that is native to the Philippines. It is a member of the custard apple family and is known for its fragrant flowers. The essential oils from the flowers, leaves, and fruits are used in perfume manufacturing and have many medicinal uses. Ylang-ylang is one of the most commonly used natural materials in the perfume industry.
The tree can grow up to 30–70 feet tall, but can reach 100 feet. It has dark green leaves that are up to 20 cm (8 in) long. The fruit is greenish-black when young, but turns yellow when ripe.
The tree is fast-growing and can regenerate easily in secondary forests and agroforests. It is often found growing spontaneously in these areas.
The essential oils from ylang-ylang are also used in aromatherapy and are believed to be effective in treating depression, high blood pressure, and anxiety. The oils can also prevent hair loss and boost hair growth.

How to Care :
- Make sure your plants are getting enough water and sunlight.
- Recommended Soil Media: 40% Garden Soil 25% cocopeat 25% Organic manure/Vermicompost 5% charcoal chips 5% perlite.
- Fertilize your plants once a month.
- Avoid over-watering your plants.
- Cut off any dead or diseased Leaves.
- Make Sure Pots Have Drainage Holes.
- Don’t Repot Immediately after received wait for at least 2-3 Days.
