Description
Sansevieria cylindrica ‘Boncel’ is a type of snake plant that is native to Angola. It has thick, cylindrical leaves that grow in a fan shape from the base of the plant. The leaves are light green with dark green concentric circles. They can be braided or left in their natural fan shape.
The Boncel prefers bright sun, warm temperatures, and low humidity. It can survive well under low light, making it ideal for indoors. It only requires minimal watering, and you should allow it to dry out completely to keep it happy and healthy.
The Boncel is also known as the African spear plant. It is grown for the hemp-like fiber in the leaves, which is called bowstring hemp.
