Mini Monstera (Raphidophora Tetrasperma)

399.00

These super easy to care for plants are a native to southern Thailand and Malaysia. They get their common name of Mini Monstera from the similarity in leaf shape to that of Monstera deliciosa.

Although they are in the same family (Araceae) and have a very similar habit and care requirements, they are actually part of the genu Raphidophora, not Monstera.

Watering
Wait until the top 2-3cm centimetres of soil in the pot has dried out before watering heavily. Water less in in the cooler month to replicate the tropical dry season. These guys are pretty tolerant if you miss a watering or two but you will see noticeable increases in growth during the summer months if you remember to water regularly.

Position
Bright indirect light and a humid position is what these guys love. They are pretty tolerant of cooler temperatures, although they are not a fan of frost.

Managing growth
They will be delivered at about 20cm tall by 20cm wide. This is however a fast growing plant with a mature leaf size of approximately 15cm x 10cm and a climbing habit that makes it great for training up a bare wall.
