Description
The coconut orchid, or Maxillaria tenuifolia, is a fragrant orchid that is known for its unique fragrance that resembles freshly toasted coconut. It is native to Central and South America and grows in a geographic area ranging from Mexico to Costa Rica.
The coconut orchid is easy to grow and can adapt to any temperate conditions, but it should be kept away from freezing cold. It can handle bright light, but will also do fine in lower light conditions. It is best to use rain, distilled, or reverse osmosis water for these plants.
The coconut orchid blooms in spring and summer on a 5cm long, single flowered inflorescence. A small plant can produce several flowers per blooming.
The coconut orchid is very popular amongst orchid collectors. It is resilient and will put on new roots if it remains ruthless for whatever reason.

How to Care :
- Make sure your plants are getting enough water and sunlight.
- Recommended Soil Media: 40% Garden Soil 25% cocopeat 25% Organic manure/Vermicompost 5% charcoal chips 5% perlite.
- Fertilize your plants once a month.
- Avoid over-watering your plants.
- Cut off any dead or diseased Leaves.
- Make Sure Pots Have Drainage Holes.
- Don’t Repot Immediately after received wait for at least 2-3 Days.
