Description
The Alocasia Silver Dragon is a rare, jewel Alocasia plant. It is known for its striking foliage, which includes dark, leathery leaves with silver-green color and deep emerald green veins. The leaves can grow up to 8 inches long and 6 inches wide. The plant is named for the dragon-like scale patterns on its leaves.
The Alocasia Silver Dragon is native to South-East Asia. It can grow to about 2 feet tall and wide. It needs at least six hours of bright, indirect sunlight each day. It thrives in temperatures between 55°F– 80°F (13°C to 27°C) and humidity of about 70%. It should be watered consistently. In warmer months, water it two to three times a week. In the winter, water it about once a week to every ten days.
The Alocasia Silver Dragon is mildly toxic to humans and animals. The insoluble oxalate crystals in the plant can irritate skin and cause oral pain when ingested.
