The Alocasia Regal Shield, also known as the Elephant Ear plant, is a tropical evergreen perennial plant.

It has large, sprawling leaves that can grow up to 20 inches long. The leaves are a deep velvety green color with bright green veins.

The underside of the leaves is a muted, deep red tone.

Here are some tips for caring for an Alocasia Regal Shield:

Light: This plant loves a sunny spot with bright indirect light.
Watering: Don’t over water, they like to dry out between waterings.
Soil: A loamy mix filled with organic matter works best. The ground needs to be well-draining and moist, with sufficient nutrients, and have an acidic pH.
Temperature: Keep warm over winter to slow down/stop dormancy.
