Plant Essentials

Fertilizer/ feed for the plant:Feed your Goeldii with a well-balanced liquid fertiliser for foliage (NPK) once a month in summer and spring and once in two months in winter.
Repotting : The Goeldii loves to be root bound, so frequent repotting is not required. Repot in a slightly larger pot, with well-draining soil, if roots start growing out of the drainage holes.
Propogation : The plant is known to be propagated from the seeds of the fruit that it bears. It can also be propagated through layering and cuttings in spring.

1. Why are my leaf edges turning brown?
Leaf edge browning can be either due to infrequent or too much watering or intense direct sunlight that is causing leaf burn. Water your plants at regular intervals and keep it out of direct sunlight.
2. Why are my goeldii leaves yellowing?
The prime reason for leaf yellowing in a majority of the plants is overwatering. The soil should be well-draining and stay moist and not soggy at all times. If your plant has mushy stems, prune them away and repot your plant in a lighter-drier soil.
3. What are the common pests that can affect my plant?
Philodendrons are susceptible to spider mites, scales, and mealy bugs. The only remedy is to check often and disinfect with an organic pesticide like neem oil every 15 days.
