The Philodendron camposportoanum is a tropical plant that grows in the rainforests of South America. It is a small, distinctive plant that is known for its trilobed leaves. In its natural habitat, it grows along the ground and climbs up trees and other vegetation.
The Philodendron camposportoanum is a member of the Araceae plant family. It is a rare variety of Philodendron and is also known as Philodendron Champos.
In its natural habitat, the Philodendron camposportoanum receives indirect sunlight. It thrives in humid conditions and can grow to around 18 inches tall and 12 inches wide. Under ideal conditions, it can grow to as much as 25 inches tall and 20 inches wide.
To propagate a Philodendron camposportoanum, you can take stem cuttings in soil. The best time to take stem cuttings is in the early to late summer. You should choose cuts with new growth.
The main drawback to philodendrons is their toxicity. Ingestion of any part of the plant can cause severe discomfort, including burning and swelling of the lips, tongue, and throat; vomiting; and diarrhea. Contact with the plant’s sap could also cause skin irritation.
