199.00

Peperomia obtusifolia, the baby rubberplant or pepper face, is a species of flowering plant in the family Piperaceae, native to Florida, Mexico and the Caribbean. The specific epithet obtusifolia means “blunt-leaved”. The plant has gained the Royal Horticultural Society’s Award of Garden Meri

The palmate pattern of leaf veins is marked out in some species as furrows in the leaves or as colored lines. Most Peperomias have tiny flowers which are packed into a characteristic greenish or brown conical spike (spadix) like an inverted catkin.

As a houseplant, it typically grows on thick erect stems. Flowers are interesting but not particularly showy.
