Description
Appearance: The mickey mouse plant is a slow-growing, semi-evergreen shrub with a loose, open habit. It typically grows to 4-8 feet tall and 3-4 feet wide, but can occasionally reach up to 20 feet tall.
Leaves: The leaves are elliptical, finely toothed, and glossy green, with young spring foliage emerging a beautiful pinkish-bronze color. They measure up to 3 inches long and are arranged alternately on the stems.
Flowers: Fragrant yellow flowers bloom in spring to early summer at the branch tips. The petals are about 2 cm in diameter and drop soon after the flower opens, revealing clusters of small fruits suspended below bright red sepals.
