Description
The Ice Cream Banana is also known as the Blue Java banana.
It’s a hardy, cold-tolerant banana tree that produces sweet fruit with a vanilla-like custard texture and taste.
The fruit is small, rectangular-like, and plump compared to common bananas.
When young, the fruit has a silver-blue matte sheen. When ripe, it has a warm, canary yellow hue. The peel is very delicate and bruises easily. Underneath the peel is snow-white flesh with the texture of ice cream.
The Ice Cream Banana tree has silvery-green leaves with bluish-green fruit. It’s popular as an ornamental plant and can be grown indoors or on a patio.
The Ice Cream Banana tree grows 10-12′ tall. Once it reaches full size, it can be planted directly in the ground for home gardens in southern zones or in large pots in northern conservatories or greenhouses.

How to Care :
- Make sure your plants are getting enough water and sunlight.
- Recommended Soil Media: 40% Garden Soil 25% cocopeat 25% Organic manure/Vermicompost 5% charcoal chips 5% perlite.
- Fertilize your plants once a month.
- Avoid over-watering your plants.
- Cut off any dead or diseased Leaves.
- Make Sure Pots Have Drainage Holes.
- Don’t Repot Immediately after received wait for at least 2-3 Days.
